NMP is one of the most experienced venture capital firms
in the country. The managers of NMP have over 85 years of direct venture
capital experience and over 220 years of diverse experience, including operational
management, investment banking, finance, law, technology, and consulting.
This combination of specific skills and operational
knowledge enables NMP to help entrepreneurs in a rapidly growing business
with a broad range of financial and business issues. Further, over the
last 20 years, NMP has developed extensive contacts with investment bankers,
attorneys, business brokers, entrepreneurs, accountants, other venture
funds, commercial bankers and senior business executives that can be valuable
resources to our portfolio companies. NMP has also assembled an active
Advisory Board featuring an impressive slate of business, education and
government leaders that provide a wealth of wisdom and direction to the
firm and its portfolio companies.
NMP works with management teams to build companies capable
of sustaining significant year-over-year growth, which will substantially
increase the equity value of its portfolio companies. To assure the appropriate
level of involvement, typically, one of the NMP managers serves as a portfolio
company Board member. In this position, NMP assists management teams in
setting strategy, structuring the organization as it grows, finding key
personnel, assisting with financial planning, raising additional capital
to support growth and eventually gaining liquidity for the investment.
NMP has invested in over 140 companies, primarily
in the Southeastern United States. The managers believe that the Atlanta
location of NMP is attractive to companies in this region seeking capital.
We can be a more effective business partner if we are located near the
company and, therefore, are easily accessible to management.
